Mayor Chad Young has appointed James Savage to sit on the Spring Hill City Council.

The seat became open after Young was elected to the mayor’s seat. Savage was sworn in at the Jan. 22 City Council meeting.

Savage said being involved in the community where he has lived for over seven years is important to him.

“I’m honored to have been appointed and truly appreciate the trust placed in me,” Savage said. “I’m committed to listening, learning, and working collaboratively to help make informed decisions that reflect the best interests of our residents.”

Savage said he has many goals for Spring Hill.

“I want to support smart, responsible growth while preserving the small-town values that define our community,” Savage said. “I’m dedicated to helping ensure that City services remain efficient and dependable, strengthening communication between the City and residents, and supporting fiscally responsible choices that benefit both current and future generations.”

Outside of working in the HVAC industry and on the City Council, Savage said he enjoys spending time with his family and staying connected with the community.

Other candidates who wrote letters of interest to sit on the City Council and were interviewed by Young included Kendra Crevier, Travis Nace, Rachel Jones, and Jonathan Reed.
