Overview
The City Clerk's Office is responsible for:
Ensuring that the Open Meetings Act is followed
Publishing legal notices through the official City newspaper, the
Miami County Republic
Serving as Freedom of Information Officer and responding to open records requests
Serving as the official record custodian and arranging for publication of all official records, ordinances, and resolutions
Researching, maintaining, and codifying the City's municipal code
Overseeing management, retention, and destruction of records in accordance with state regulations
Issues various licenses required by the City
Serving as the City's liaison to the County Election office
Serving as a notary public
