Trash and Recycling Services
Effective Wednesday, July 17, Waste Management will run routes one hour earlier due to extreme heat. This will continue through the end of August. Please have all cans curbside by 6 a.m. each Friday.
The City contracts with Waste Management for garbage and recycling collection. Customers are billed monthly through the City for this service, but questions about collections and pick-up requests should be directed to Waste Management.
To start trash service, fill out the utilities application, which is also used to start sewer and water service for City customers.
A discount on trash service is available for senior citizens age 65 and older who have service in their name at their residence.
All Spring Hill residents will have their weekly trash and recycling pickup on Friday.
Trash is limited to three bags, three cans (both a maximum of 30 gallons); or any 95 gallon cart. Trash in excess of these amounts should be placed in a bag with a pre-paid sticker attached. Stickers are available at City Hall in sheets of 10 for $15.
Waste Management will pick up any amount of recycling. Use any container, clearly marked as recyclables. Recyclables in trash bags are not accepted. Yard waste will be picked up on most regular trash days. View the 2019 calendar for yard waste pickup.
Waste Management will not collect oil, car batteries, liquefied paint, gasoline, tires, steel pipe, rock, concrete, or construction material. Information on the disposal of hazardous waste is available here.
