SHPD joins Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement campaign

seat belt enforcement

This Thanksgiving holiday, prioritizing safety is as easy as buckling up, Kansans. No need to wait for a New Year's resolution—make sure everyone in the car buckles up today and every day.

Joining forces with law enforcement agencies statewide, including the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Spring Hill Police Department is part of the Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement campaign. While all traffic laws will be regularly enforced, special attention will be dedicated to actively enforcing occupant protection laws. This means every passenger must be securely restrained with a seat belt or in the appropriate car seat or booster seat.

The campaign runs from Saturday, November 18, through Sunday, November 26, 2023. SHPD aims to encourage habits that prioritize safety both on the road and inside the vehicle. Buckle up for a safe Thanksgiving!
