The Giving Grove welcomes visitors for 2023 harvest

The Giving Grove is ready for visitors to come pick ripe Asian pears grown right here in Spring Hill! Located behind the Civic Center in Friendship Park along Jefferson St., the Giving Grove invites residents and visitors to enjoy a fruitful experience while contributing to a greener environment.

Spring Hill Public Works Parks Maintenance employee Brian Cook placed signs at each tree letting residents know which ones are ripe. We ask that residents pick off the two Asian pear trees that are designated with "Pick Me!" signs. The other trees need a little more time. To make sure everyone gets a taste, kindly take a couple and leave some behind for others to enjoy.
