Mayor Joe Berkey issued a proclamation recognizing April as Fair Housing Month at the regular City Council meeting on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

The proclamation states that Spring Hill is committed to Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which made equal housing opportunities become law. 

Since the law passed, Fair Housing groups and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development have investigated thousands of fair housing laws violations.
