After a hiatus due to COVID-19, the senior nutrition program is now meeting in person again.
The Johnson County Area Agency on Aging provides nutritious meals Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Spring Hill Civic Center. Anyone over the age of 60 and their spouse can eat. A donation of $3 is suggested, but no one will be denied a meal if they are unable to pay.
Individuals age 60 and older and their spouse are encouraged to call the Spring Hill Nutrition Center at (913) 592-3180 by 10 a.m. one day in advance to make a reservation. The Area Agency on Aging also provides home-delivered meals to homebound residents over the age of 60 and their spouse. The agency requires an evaluation of need to qualify.
To find out more about the service, call the Aging Information line at (913) 715-8861.
