[ARCHIVED] City now accepting online donations to Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund

MCTF poster 2019

Great news! We are now accepting online donations to the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund!

As the weather cools late each year, the warm generosity and kindness of Spring Hill residents is highlighted through their benevolent support of the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund.

Founded in 2013, The Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund raises donations for valuable local organizations that help our community's most vulnerable residents. For 2019, Mayor Steven Ellis has set a goal of $4,500.

  • The Spring Hill Food Pantry, operated by Life Spring Church, provides groceries to residents of Johnson and Miami Counties each Thursday.
  • The BackSnack program is a partnership between Harvesters and the Spring Hill Rotary Club. The program provides a weekly backpack of nutritious food for children in need to take home over the weekend.
  • The Southwest Johnson County Multi-Service Center's utility assistance program provides financial assistance to families who are experiencing difficulty paying electricity, natural gas, water, propane, heating wood or sewer bills.
  • Spring Hill Inspiration for Teens (SHIFT) offers free monthly events for teens, complete with food and fun. It allows teens to have a free and fun way to spend time with friends in a safe, supervised location.

Give a good meal, a warm home and a fresh start to someone in your community today!
