A letter from Mayor Steven Ellis addressed to Mr. Gerald Bennett, General Manager of Rural Water District No. 2 of Miami County:
"Dear Mr. Bennett,
I appreciate you and Board Chairman Dycus taking time to meet with me today to discuss the issues impacting water quality for Spring Hill water customers. Identification of the root cause of the issue that impacted our customers and subsequent implementation of irreversible corrective action is necessary to rebuild the trust and confidence of our water customers. Your organization's willingness to meet and have a frank discussion about the issue is a step toward restoration of that trust and confidence.
Based on our conversation, it appears as though you are close to completing your analysis. In order to ensure that interested water customers can join in hearing the findings of your analysis, I request your presence at a public hearing on water quality to be held 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 in the chambers of the Governing Body of the City of Spring Hill, 401 N. Madison St.
We look forward to hearing your report of findings on Nov. 14.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Ellis."
