Construction at Veterans Park is set to begin this month!

     At the Sept. 26 City Council meeting, the Council approved a contract with Mega Industries to construct Spring Hill’s newest park, which will be financed with funds from the dedicated sales tax initiative.

     Veterans Park — situated on the west side of Spring Hill City Lake — will include:

        • A dog park (which will be named Melvin Murry Dog Park);

        • Boat launch;

        • Fishing jetty;

        • Playground;

        • Sidewalks, trails and parking;

        • Restrooms.

     Access to the park will be by way of Veterans Lane off West 199th Street. Construction is to be completed by June 2020.
