The City of Spring Hill will begin the Ground Storage Tank Painting and Repair improvement project June 24. This project is expected to take approximately 60 days with completion around Aug. 30.
We anticipate no disruption in water service to City of Spring Hill water district customers during the project period. However, we want all Spring Hill water customers to be aware of the Ground Storage Tank Improvement project that will commence soon at the corner of Washington and Allen streets.
The repairs will include grouting and seal of concrete foundation, cleaning of nameplate, shell manway improvements, overflow improvements, new roof accessories, repairs to the tank floor and blasting and painting of the interior and exterior of the tank.
This project will render the Ground Storage Water Tank out of service thus leaving the City with the Elevated Water Tower for above ground water storage as well as direct water supply from Miami Co. RWD2 during the project.
