The City of Spring Hill would like to extend a “BIG THANK YOU” to Midwest Pool Management (MPM) for the voluntary service project they completed at the Civic Center and Friendship Park on July 13th. The MPM staff pulled weeds, spread a ton of mulch and planted additional shrubs and plants within the playground and courtyards. It was a huge help and they did a great job!

CSI: KANSAS CITY-MIDWEST POOL MANAGEMENT VERSION
GIVING BACK TO THE SPRING HILL COMMUNITY
Midwest Pool Management staff from Spring Hill Aquatic Center and Tiffany Springs Aquatic Center, owned by the City of Kansas City, descended on Friendship Park early on the morning of July 13th. The group of 41 spent 2 hours spreading a new layer of mulch in the playground area, planting 14 new plants along the entrance to the Civic Center and the entrance to City Hall and picking up trash throughout the block.
Midwest Pool Management’s CSI: KC employee group coordinates and organizes 3 large scale community service projects each summer in the Kansas metro area. On the same date, events were held in Warrensburg, MO and Kansas City, MO. In 3 years of events, this is the first event organized specifically with the City of Spring Hill. All of the events are organized and coordinated by employee members of CSI. Eden Dowler, Vice President for Midwest Pool Management, says “community service is part of the mission statement for CSI:KC and we are proud to give back to the communities in which we work and play. We are proud that our employees would spend their Saturday morning travelling and working in Spring Hill. This dedication and pride is shown inside facilities but this gives us the opportunity to spend as a group outside the facility as well. We are proud that our employees, teens and adults, chose to come out this morning.”
So far this season, over 300 volunteer hours have been donated by MPM staff to local park and recreation departments during the summer of 2013. In over 10 community events during its short 3 year history, CSI:KC has donated over 2,500 hours and completed dozen of tasks in a desire to be of service. This is emblematic of the character and caliber of Midwest Pool Management employees.
